Bologna edge Lecce 2-1 in Serie A clash

Bologna FC 1909 claimed a 2-1 win over US Lecce in their Serie A encounter, with the result leaving the visitors in 15th place and the hosts in 13th.

The match was closely contested, with both sides generating opportunities throughout the 90 minutes.

For Bologna, the three points maintain their position in the lower half of the table, offering a modest boost as the season progresses.

Lecce, despite being two places higher before the game, now must regroup after dropping points on home turf.

The outcome has immediate implications for the relegation battle, as both clubs remain within reach of the drop zone and will need to secure further results to ensure safety.

Looking ahead, Bologna will aim to build on this win to climb out of the 15th spot, while Lecce will focus on recovering form to preserve their 13th‑place standing.

The fixture underscores the tight margins that define Serie A's lower table, where each result can shift the balance between survival and relegation.
