Auxerre stun Le Havre 3-1 in Ligue 1 clash

AJ Auxerre travelled to Le Havre AC and emerged with a 3-1 victory in Ligue 1, a result that defied the pre‑match table positions.
Le Havre entered the match in 14th place, a mid‑table spot that typically suggests a degree of stability.
Auxerre, sitting 18th, were battling to climb out of the relegation zone and needed points to improve their standing.
The three‑goal margin gave Auxerre three points, while Le Havre collected a single point from the encounter.
Following the result, Auxerre closed the gap to the safety line, while Le Havre's position in the table remained largely unchanged.
The win could provide momentum for Auxerre in the remaining fixtures, whereas Le Havre may need to address the defensive lapse that led to conceding three goals.
Both clubs now face a critical phase of the season, with Auxerre aiming to secure further points to avoid relegation and Le Havre looking to maintain their mid‑table status.
