AJ Auxerre 1-1 Le Mans FC: Ligue 1 draw keeps Auxerre 18th

The Ligue 1 match between AJ Auxerre and Le Mans FC ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
Auxerre entered the game sitting 18th in the table, while Le Mans occupied 13th place.
Both clubs earned a single point, leaving Auxerre still at the bottom of the standings and Le Mans maintaining their mid‑table position.
For Auxerre, the draw offers a modest boost but does not alter their precarious fight against relegation; further points will be essential in the remaining fixtures.
Le Mans, positioned 13th, can view the point as preserving their status, though a win would have moved them closer to the European‑qualification spots.
Both sides will look to build on the result: Auxerre must turn draws into victories, while Le Mans will aim to convert draws into wins to improve their standing.
The encounter underscored Ligue 1’s competitive balance, with a lower‑ranked side able to hold its own against a team higher up the table.
